David Harris is a writer and historian, who found ruins of the lost city Rome in the Gobi Desert. He has 18 books published, including various histories, fiction for young readers, travel, biography, business and cultural relations, travel, and texts for secondary and tertiary students. His work includes the popular Cliffhanger series for readers 9-12 years and What a Line, the history of Hills Industries. He has lectured and run workshops about writing in universities and TAFE, and schools around Australia.
