Anne Bartlett

Anne Bartlett has been a member of the SA Writers' Centre for nearly twenty years and for much of that time has worked in a variety of freelance work—magazine articles, ghost writing, biography and children's education. Her first adult novel Knitting, written as the creative component of a PhD (Creative Writing) at the University of Adelaide was published here and overseas in 2005, and longlisted for the Miles Franklin Award 2006.
Having benefited in
different ways from both from the academic environment and the SAWC, she is interested in
building bridges between the two environments. She is also a member of International PEN and the
Australian Society of Authors, and is particularly interested in representing the needs of rural
writers, and encourages them to contact her at:
