Ashley Mallett

Ashley Mallett's journalistic career began more than 35 years ago. He has written for a variety of newspapers and magazines, including The Australian, Hong Kong Standard, India Today, The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald and The Sunday Times in Perth and Johannesburg. He worked for News Ltd for 10 years and before that was with Messenger Newspapers.
Ashley has written a total of 23 books with two due to be published in 2007 - The Doug Walters Story with Allen & Unwin and The Clarrie Grimmett Biography with Wakefield Press. A further book (a biography of Jeff Thomson with Allen & Unwin) will be published in 2008 and a contract for another book will be tied up within a few weeks. Ashley can bring a wealth of journalistic and related writing skills to the Board.
