David Conyers

David Conyers is the author of more than thirty science fiction short stories found in numerous anthologies, magazines and journals across the world, several of which have been short-listed for the Aeon, Aurealis, Ditmar and Australian Shadows awards.

His first novel The Spiraling Worm co-authored with John Sunseri was published in 2007, and his first edited anthology Cthulhu's Dark Cults will be released in early 2009. Between 2004 and 2006 he was the Associate Editor for Book of Dark Wisdom.

Outside of writing David has a degree in civil engineering and began his career in project management working on remote outback construction sites in Western Australia . For the last twelve years he has specialised in marketing communications in various industries at management level.

David has been a member of the SA Writers' Centre since 2007 and was a former editor of the Centre's member magazine Southern Write. Once upon a time he did a lot of travel, exploring over twenty-five countries in six continents, experiences which have influenced his writing. These days he lives happily in Adelaide with his wife and daughter, and writes part time.
