Astrid Cooper
Astrid Cooper wrote her first fantasy romance at age five.
But forget Mr Darcy, Astrid's heroes are more likely to be
'mad, bad and dangerous to know!' Her motto of 'Dare to
be Different!' has taken her life and career in many exciting
directions — meeting Hollywood stars, movie producers, an
Apollo astronaut. Active in sciencefiction/fantasy fandom,
she has co-ordinated many fan groups, conventions, as well
as published over 100 'zines. Professionally published since
1998, Astrid presents writing workshops and conferences,
as well as working as a freelance editor. In her spare time
rescues animals, and makes costumes and accessories.
Astrid also writes for the webzine The Specusphere.
