Jennifer Hastings is a Daughter With a Mission. Estranged from her father for 16
years, she learns that he has died and his body is being shipped from Hong Kong
back home to London, where she lives. On the way to the funeral, Jennifer notices
she is being followed by two black limousines. As the service ends, the occupants
of the black limousines claim to work for the government and snatch away the body.
An upset Jennifer seeks answers from the police, her Member of Parliament, and
Whitehall, but no one can tell her anything. With nowhere else to turn, Jennifer
heads for Hong Kong. She meets Reg, a young police officer on his way to begin
a position with Hong Kong government. Reg wants to help Jennifer, but she
declines. She is physically assaulted, robbed, shot at and nearly drowned.
