Put simply, membership of the AWG is the best investment you can make in your career. The AWG is the professional association for all performance writers, that is, writers for film, television, radio, theatre, video and new media. The AWG was established in 1962 and is recognised throughout the industry in Australia as being the voice of performance writers.

Catherine House Inc. provides supported accommodation to women over 21, unaccompanied by children, who are homeless. Staff work with clients in a holistic way, to deliver a wide range of programs and services according to need. This vital work includes having an innovative on-site Vocational Education and Development Centre called Sagarmatha which is dedicated to ‘educating women out of homelessness’. Research is an integral part of the work of Catherine House. We place a high value on initiating, and participating in, relevant research studies.

DUES: $25 per year (new and prospective members can attend two meetings before payment) Crime Writers SA is a group for all South Australian based writers of crime fiction. We hold monthly meetings where we discuss everything from works in progress, comparison and analysis of various authors' techniques and styles, research tips and occasional guest speakers on topics like forensics and police procedures. Our goal is to become the public face of crime writing in SA and, as the group evolves, we hope it will become a place where people who enjoy the genre and understand how it works will be able to inspire and support each other through the entire writing process.
