The South Australian Writers' Centre Inc.

In 1988, Barbara McFadyen was appointed as the SAWC's first co-coordinator. The Writers' Centre also made the move to the 2nd floor of 155 Pirie Street.

Events included the inaugural 'Poets on Popeye', an event that was to become a lasting favorite. We held a Writers' Week information booth, and held a 'Smorgasbord of Writers' at Women's Art Week.

Workshops included 'Hot Seat Editing', and 'Skillshare for Workshop Leaders'.

The 1988 committee of management: Elizabeth Mansutti, Evelyn Tindale, Phillip Everett, Rodin Genoff, Liz Heath-Goiw, Di Brown, Mikol Furneaux, Ken Bolton and Ann Timoney-Jenkin. The Annual General Meeting featured guest Fij Miller.
