The National Association of Writers Centres is made up of all the state and territory Writers' Centres based in capital cities in Australia. They also provide services to the rest of their states. They are currently funded by the Australia Council as well as their state arts body. The Directors meet annually to discuss best practice. The SA Writers' Centre is assisted by the South Australian Government through Arts SA, and the Commonwealth Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory bodies.
